Design Centrum CzechTrade, the national platform for state support of design and guarantor for the design sector, announced the first ever Industrial Design Award at the International Industrial Fair in Brno. The award ceremony took place on 9 October 2024 in the unique SONO music club.

Its 65th anniversary edition was also attended by the following personalities: Czech PM Petr Fiala, new Minister of Industry and Trade Lukáš Vlček, Minister of Transport Martin Kupka, Minister of the Environment Petr Hladík, President of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic Jan Rafaj and a number of other guests, who together went to visit selected stands.

Gold medals have been awarded at the MSV for 50 years. Six exhibits won this year's awards, and Prime Minister Petr Fiala also congratulated the winners. The ceremony of announcing the results and presenting the awards took place in the rotunda of Pavilion A as part of the opening ceremony of MSV 2024.
